Profits + Prosecco: The Podcast

Dec 27, 2021

Fundamentals are the building blocks for any small business, and you want to make sure you have a solid foundation to build on. If your foundation is shaky, or you’re constantly faking it till you make it, that will eventually show. Don’t you owe it to yourself and your clients to invest your time & money to be the most confident bookkeeper you can be?

In this episode, I chat with Kelly Wigington, owner of Summer Dove Bookkeeping, about her journey into becoming a small business bookkeeper, and her experience with my online course, Become a Bookkeeper (BABs). We’ll go more into:

  • What it means to be a more confident bookkeeper
  • Keeping imposter syndrome at bay
  • How refreshers can build confidence in your process

At the end of the day, if you’re willing to put in the work and stand behind it, you’re going to be fine. Everyone’s path into bookkeeping is different, and so if your story doesn’t look like mine of Kelly’s, don’t panic.

That being said, the fundamentals of the job are all the same. Numbers don’t lie and they’re not subjective.

Your clients are depending on you to deliver accurate and fair analysis of their financial matters, which is no small task. Don’t you want to know you’re doing the best job you possibly can?
